Luxury, Mayan-themed all-inclusive located directly on shores of Playa Paraiso – Part of the Iberostar Paraiso Resort, a multi-property, self-contained vacation town along Mexico’s Caribbean coast, this all-inclusive has a more upscale atmosphere than its sibling properties where guests enjoy exchange privileges. A massive replica of the pyramid at Chichen Itza houses a bar and lounge and highlights the Mayan-theme, and a lazy river connects the pools here with those at Paraiso Lindo.
Accommodations: The Junior Suites and Superior Junior suites have spacious living areas, tropical decor, 1 king or 2 double beds, marble baths with Jacuzzi tubs, and balconies or terraces that overlook the gardens and swimming pools. Amenities include air-conditioning, ceiling fans, TVs with DVD players, mini-bars, in-room safes, bathrobes, hairdryers, and iron/ironing boards. High-speed internet is available at an additional cost. Superior Junior Suites have sofa beds.
Dining & Entertainment: As a guest you’ll enjoy unlimited domestic and imported beverages and dining at 6 restaurants. The international buffet is open for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is an a la carte occasion, and your options are restaurants specializing in Japanese, Mexican, steakhouse, seafood, and gourmet cuisine. NOTE: Dress code and reservations are required for a la carte dining. A grill, snack bar, and a casual poolside restaurant serve snacks and grilled items throughout the day. Drinks are served at 7 bars. Room service is available 24 hours a day. In addition to 17 stores, the shopping center has an ice cream parlor, a Taqueria, a casual hamburger-and-fries spot, and is home to 2 night clubs – Galaxy for adults and Underground for teens. Other after-dark entertainment includes live music, dance, and weekly themed parties.
Recreation: There are 3 pools and 2 whirlpools, aswell as the wave pool and lazy river shared with Paraiso Lindo. Lounges and umbrellas are available on the beach. El Spa is the 2-story luxury spa that includes a sauna, Turkish and Roman Baths, its own Jacuzzis and swimming pool, and a full menu of massages, exfoliations, water treatments, and beauty services. The Playa Paraiso Golf Club features a challenging 18-hole course designed by P.B. Dye. The dive center offers all levels of scuba instruction and a variety of tours. Snorkeling equipment and tours are also available. Non-motorized water sports are included. Other activities include Spanish lessons, dance, volleyball, water polo, basketball, tennis and archery.
