Resort Description

Offering the ultimate, complete vacation, this all-suite resort occupies a secluded, 440-acre peninsula in Nuevo Vallarta, between the Pacific and a natural lagoon.

The self-contained village encompasses 488 suites in 2 Mayan-style, pyramid-shaped buildings that open onto a wide beach dotted by thatch-roofed palapas. Extra-large studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom suites include terraces or balconies with dining sets and views of the gardens, pools, marina, or ocean. Airy and decorated with Mayan-inspired artwork, they feature marble bathrooms, tile floors, and separate kitchens.

Restaurants include El Faro de Tulum, overlooking the ocean and marina, serving international cuisine; Mayapan Graden, for gourmet Mexican fare; and the romantic Kaybal Ocean Terrace, specializing in fire-grilled seafood. Snacks are served at the Kikil Grill & Beach Club, health food tops the menu at Palenque Natural at the spa, and fine international cuisine is served at El Tigre Clubhouse.

The resort's famous El Tigre golf course, by Robert Von Hagge, winds around a stream and several lakes. Two spas -- one on the beach, another in the El Tigre clubhouse -- provide exceptional service, with hydrotherapy, massage, and yoga. The Mayan theme extends to 2 large, free-form oceanfront pools, featuring crocodile-shaped slides and a grotto sheltering a 12-person hot tub. Bathers also enjoy the gentle surf on the property's 900-foot beach. The resort provides complimentary use of kayaks and boogie boards, and a dive center offers scuba lessons. A kids' club offers half-day and full-day activities for youngsters aged 4-11.

The resort is also home to a shopping mall with a supermarket, 100 boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants, as well as a full-service marina and a zoo, complete with alligators and Bengal tigers!

With so many conveniences, amenities, and activities offered on-site, guests find few reasons to venture far.
